Abstract

|
This paper aims to examine the regulatory policy on Korean-Chinese migrant workers in Korean elderly care labor market. Firstly, this paper explains how Korean-Chinese migrants legitimately work in the elderly care sector by investigating how migration policy on overseas Korean and regulatory policy on the foreign worker in the elderly care sector have been developed. Secondly, this paper investigates the structure in which Korean-Chinese migrant workers flow in segmented elderly care labor market by focusing on regulatory policy, care demand and working condition of segmented elderly care sectors. Lastly, I discuss the characteristics and limitations of policy on Korean-Chinese migrant workers in Korean elderly care labor market.
